Easy Chicken Pot Pie

I just wanted to share this recipe with you. Take it or leave, it doesn't matter to me. I got it from my sister in law. I love it because it is so easy but it also tastes good (a definite bonus).

If you have leftover cooked veggies you can use those instead of the frozen. You can also try different condensed cream soups, depending on your taste and what's available in your pantry. I doubled this recipe and put it in a 9X13 casserole dish. When I tried it in the pie plate I only had it in the oven for about 20 minutes instead of 30 so be sure to watch it! Enjoy!

P.S. if you have any really good, EASY recipes you'd like to share, PLEASE do!! Just post it in the comments on this post!

To Be Continued.....

Well, my husband stayed in contact with the same guy who had talked to him at 1:00 in the morning most of the day yesterday. And the guy turned out to be extremely helpful! We are still not sure what relation he has to the people who had my phone but I am very grateful for his assistance in getting it back. So, to make a long story short, yes, I did get my cell phone back! BUT, these people had no intention on ever returning the phone for sure, at least in the beginning. All of my contacts, pictures, text messages and backdrops were erased. They were were replaced with one contact number of their own along with a couple of pictures and an "attempted" video (I guess they had a hard time figuring out how the camera worked). This discovery made the whole story even more confusing and made me even more annoyed but I am VERY HAPPY I have my phone back! It is very sad that we live in a world of such dishonest people. Having your cell phone taken is certainly one of the minor things you could have stolen from you but even that was frustrating.

Cell Phone Thieves

I had lost my cell phone about a week ago. At first I thought my kids had picked it up and shoved it in a couch cushion or it was buried somewhere in the van. I got to thinking about it and then had a new theory that it might have been at my sister in law's house because that was the last time I remembered having it. I wasn't too stressed out about it and keep thinking it was just going to show up like it always does (I lose my cell phone almost on a daily basis. People who know me know they can never reach me it). I did however keep trying to call it to see if I had lost it and someone had found it but every time I tried it was turned off. Well, someone I knew tried calling my cell phone to talk to me and ended up getting some strange women who told her she had my phone and had been trying to locate the owner. When I got the news I immediately called my phone and was told that her son had found it at Smith's. We then set up a time to meet later that day at Smith's. That time came and I called my cell phone. I then got a different person who told me his ex-wife had just informed him that he was suppose to be dropping off this cell phone to the owner but he was on his way to Tooele and he could meet me the next day, same time. Next day comes, I call the cell phone and it is either shut off or dead. So, I thought well, maybe he'll be there anyway. Drive to Smiths, wait fifteen minutes, no show! At this point, I'm a little annoyed but still very trusting of these people. So, I tell my husband. He gets a little upset about the whole thing and keeps trying to call my phone with the same result: rings once then goes to voice mail. Then suddenly I get this grand idea (and don't ask me why I didn't think of this before) to look at my call record online to see if they have used it at all. This is when I discoved they had been using it since the very second they picked it up! Not only had they been using it to call people and have other people call them on it they sent over 30 text messages ( and I pay for every text I send)!! NOW, I get upset. Instead of some nice people who were kind enough to try and return my phone to me, I now believe I've got some cell phone thieves! As I'm looking at the record I realize now we have some alternate phone numbers for these people because the same 3 or 4 numbers keep coming up. Dayv starts calling them (at 10:30 at night) and just gets voice mails. We call Verizon and tell them the situation, have the phone reported stolen and shut off. Well, around 1:00 am we get a phone call. It is one of the people he tried calling. earlier wondering who had called his phone. Dayv tells him why he called and he tells Dayv he was sure the phone was already returned. When he hears what really happened he tells Dayv that he will get the phone returned today. Dayv tells him to just have whoever returns it to just take it to the lost and found at Smith's and then we will pick it up. So, I guess this is now a to be continued.....

The Nesting Instinct

I have come to the realization that it I want anything done around here I have to be 7 months pregnant. This is when I start organizing cupboards and closets, rearranging furniture, completing projects that have been left undone since the last time I was pregnant, and painting murals on my kid's walls. Yes, murals! When I was pregnant with Noah I got this crazy idea to paint a jungle mural in Carson and Noah's room. I drew the outline and had probably 1/3 of it painted. I have some pretty awesome friends who came over while I was in the hospital (without my knowledge) and painted all but one wall for me! I have not touched it since. Well, here I am 7 months along looking at my boy's room thinking, "I'm going to finish this before Landon's born". So, I'm back to painting. Along with the wall that was never painted, I have also decided to redo another wall because Carson and Noah's new bunk bed pretty much covers it up. I've also been changing and fixing some things on the other two walls. Carson is more than thrilled that I've decided to pick up the paint brush again. Now I just need to GET IT DONE before D-day because there's no more babies coming after this one to help me get my butt in gear again. I'll be sure to post pictures when it it done!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Birthday Noah!

So, in these last three weeks I have been absent we have gone through a few holidays. Which would probably be part of the reason why I have been absent. I've been a little BUSY, ok?! We spent Christmas at my parents. I was an airhead and forgot my camera at home so no Christmas 2008 pictures. Dayv's sister, Toni, and her kids were in town for New Years so we saw the new year with them. I think we were trying for the world record for the longest game of Munchkin ever! THREE HOURS!!! And amazingly enough I still love it and want to buy it (ooooh, and I just found out it's on sale).

Today we celebrated Noah's 2nd birthday! I decided for his 2nd birthday Noah just had to have a Noah's Ark birthday party. With the "2 by 2" theme already there it was just a given. Now I know some of you may think it's a little cheesy but I just HAD to. So, my mom (0f course) made his adorable cake. We had a fabulous turnout and I think Noah thoroughly enjoyed himself. Thank you everyone who came!

Noah's birthday is just the beginning of our birthday extravaganza. For some reason I have this obsession with March. Carson's birthday is March 18th, Tahirah's birthday is March 17th, and Landon's birthday will be March 21st or sometime later in March (trust me folks, I don't do early). And to top that off Dayv's birthday is thee weeks before all this march birthday madness on February 25th.

Well, we are now counting down the weeks. TEN more to go! By the way, I don't know what is up with my pregnancy ticker. The weeks are right but for some reason it says I have 4 more days to go...I WISH!
